NAGAUR FAIR 2025

The Nagaur fair is the second largest cattle fair in India. It takes place in January or February, depending on the year. It takes place around its crenellated fort, not unlike that of Jaisalmer. It's a magical place, and the presence of all these animals plunges us into an oriental fairytale!

The Nagaur district is the land of fairs, which are not just livestock markets, but a veritable way of life. Rural populations take part in these fairs with great enthusiasm, as if they were major social events. In addition to livestock, they also sell everyday items ranging from needles to nails. The fairs are in fact the true face of rustic rural Rajasthan and a strong testimony to its social harmony.
